First, the on-site visit is shared — a senior engineer comes to your site once rather than twice, which is less disruption to your team and lets us gather the underlying evidence in one pass. Second, price — buying them together at $4,950 ex GST is around 25% off buying them separately ($2,950 + $3,450 = $6,400). You get both full reports, both roadmaps, and a single walkthrough call that covers the whole picture.

No. The bundle is a one-off engagement that stands on its own. Both reports end with roadmaps — the Strategic IT Review's roadmap covers your whole environment across the four-stage framework, the Essential Eight's roadmap covers your maturity gap to ML2 — but there's no obligation to act on either with us. You can implement them yourself, with your current provider, or come back to us later if and when it makes sense. If you do want Breakwater to implement and maintain the controls, that's quoted separately as ongoing managed support under our Complete tier.

Typically one to two weeks. The on-site visit is a single session booked at a time that suits you, with a senior engineer covering both the four-stage Strategic IT Review scope and the eight Essential Eight controls in one pass. We then spend a day reviewing your tenancy remotely for each report, build both PDFs, and send them through with the walkthrough call scheduled five to ten business days after the on-site visit. Larger or more complex environments may take slightly longer but the price doesn't change.

If you want a broad health check across your whole IT environment and you also need formal compliance evidence for a cyber insurer, tender response or vendor questionnaire, the bundle is the right choice — it covers both needs in one engagement at a meaningful discount. If you only need one of those things, pick the standalone product instead. The Strategic IT Review on its own is $2,950 ex GST and is the right starting point for a general "where do we stand?" question. The Essential Eight Maturity Assessment on its own is $3,450 ex GST and is the right starting point if you specifically need Essential Eight evidence and don't need the broader environmental sweep.
